Privacy
Last updated: June 11, 2026.
This is a personal/company website. It collects as little as possible, and what it does collect is listed here in plain language.
What this site collects, and why
- Email sign-up. If you subscribe to get new essays by email, the site stores your email address and the time you signed up, and nothing else. It's used only to send you new essays. Any email you receive will include a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- Contact form. If you send a message, the site stores the name, email address, and message you typed, so I can read it and reply. That's the only use.
No tracking cookies, no advertising pixels, no third-party marketing tags, on any page.
Where it goes
Submissions are stored in a database on Cloudflare's infrastructure, under this site's own account. The list and the messages are not shared with, sold to, or rented to anyone.
Form submissions are checked by Cloudflare Turnstile to block bots. Turnstile processes your IP address transiently to decide whether you're human; this site does not store your IP. Cloudflare's own privacy policy applies to that processing.
Analytics
This site uses (or will use) Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate. It doesn't profile you, follow you across sites, or store anything on your device.
Retention
Subscriber emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed. Contact messages are kept like ordinary business correspondence: while they're useful, then deleted.
Your data, your call
Want to know what's stored about you, or want it deleted? Email [email protected] and I'll take care of it. There's no form, no account, and no waiting period.
